Forming Process: Cold Pressing
This technique capitalizes on the plastic deformation ability of metals. By applying pressure, it smooths out microscopic surface protrusions on workpieces, reducing surface roughness effectively. High pressure is introduced into mold cavities to create dense, well-formed blanks, with processes like surface rolling and extrusion included. It is suitable for materials such as polycarbonate and polypropylene. Notably, cold pressing enhances the material's tensile strength and elastic modulus significantly.
